Central Coast Beaches - Elegant Hangover Havens For Beach Buffs
Many say “beaches are surfer’s dream and a swimmer’s delight”!
Frankly speaking, a holiday to New South Wales in Australia remains
incomplete without a visit to one of the Central Coast’s beautiful
beaches. With powder soft white sand, crystal clear water, and an
inspiringly castaway lagoon with variety of adventurous activities, the
central coast beaches serve really elegant hangover havens for beach
buffs of all ages.

Some of the popular beaches of Central Coast
Copacabana Beach - Copacabana Beach, just a few kilometres south
of Avoca is a popular patrolled surfing and holiday beach that suits
diver’s taste and preference. The beach also features a whale viewing
platform. During the winter months between late May and early August,
the humpback whales are seen occasionally migrating to the warmer waters
of the Central Coast region off the Three Points. The whales often come
quite close to the coastline due to the northerly currents at this time
of year.
Avoca Beach - The Avoca Beach forms a part of the predominantly
surfing and superb holiday resort area stretching along residential
coastline from the entrance down to McMasters Beach. Set in a quiet
area, its wooded hills and white sandy beaches serve as a popular
destination for Sydney’s wealthy and more discerning holidaymakers.
Avoca Beach stretches between two dominating rocky headlands. While the
surf varies from one end to the other to suit the novice or more
experienced surfer, it is also ideal for fishing and recreational
swimming for all ages.
Shelly Beach - Shelly Beach is one of the Central Coast’s most
accepted surfing beaches close to The Entrance, Long Jetty and Bateau
Bay. The beach features rock walks and is great for exploring. Shelly
Beach features diversity, accommodation venues and is extremely close to
major shopping centres and The Entrance.

Soldier’s Beach - Nestled at the picturesque Norah Head, Soldiers
beach is one of the few central coast beaches, devoid of human habitats
and interference. Neither the sprawling shopping centres nor homes will
hinder your experience of this scintillating stretch of coastline. You
can enjoy an amazing view of the NSW coast from the highest point of the
beach at the Northern trip.
Toowoon Bay - Just a five minute drive from the South-east of the
entrance, Toowoon Bay is one of Central Coast’s best kept secrets. It
offers a picturesque horseshoe shaped protected beach that is great for
families, but bathers should be careful of currents near the rocks at
the southern end.
A small bay surrounded by a reef which becomes exposed at low tide, it
offers protection from the ocean swells and provides safe swimming for
all ages. A popular spot for snorkelling and a good location to see
migrating whales and playful dolphins as they come in close to the
coastline. Public amenities facilities are available here.
The Entrance Beach - The Entrance beach is a popular stop for
beach enthusiasts. It is within walking distance from a host of
attractions and facilities including the sea baths, coastal boardwalk,
children's playground and park, undercover BBQs and picnic tables,
Vera's Watergarden, shops, cafes and restaurants, weekend markets and
live entertainment. Tuggerah Lake and The Entrance Channel are paradise
for boaties and angler with boat ramps and several boat hire outlets in
the area.
You can also hire catamarans, sailboards, canoes, surf skis, pedal boats
and aqua bikes. One of the most popular attractions is the daily feeding
of the pelicans in Memorial Park at 3.30 pm.
